A.It will depend on the extent of the fire's original damage and what was done to fix it. Often times the framing of the building can be weakened by the fire or even the water from the fire dept. can cause extensive structural damages. The kilz primer is used to cover the smoke stains and smell. But it should not be used to hide damage. If there was an insurance claim, then it must be explained to the buyer.

A.I wouldn't recommend it unless you are highly knowledgable in the subject. There are so many elements that are easy to overlook plus there could be a toxic factor when working with things that have been burned.

A.Most companies do require a 4 year degree. They don't care what it's in but you have to have it.
However, for some positions they will allow experience instead of a college degree. For example, many auto physical damage appraisers were former body shop managers and owners.

You may also want to check with independent adjusting companies or companies that focus on "storm trooping". They may not be as strict on the college degree requirement.
